regional International Organization based in Port Vila, Vanuatu that operates
under the Pacific Islands Civil Aviation Safety & Security Treaty (PICASST)
to provide civil aviation safety & security oversight services to 10
Pacific Island Members States.
As a result of organisational changes applications are invited for the position of Operations Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, the position is based full time in Vanuatu and the successful applicant must be able to travel internationally across the region. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the coordination and supervision of service delivery for all operational matters. The Operations Manager will work closely with PASO member States by managing the Pool of Inspectors to provide services in a timely manner to conduct regulatory aviation audits, assessments, and inspections. The successful applicant will hold the necessary skills and qualifications to be able to undertake either Flight Operations or Airworthiness activities.

Applications

60%)
The Kolisen Blong Edukesen Vanuatu (KOBLE) is a national coalition of civil society
organisations with the aim of engaging the Government of Vanuatu and other
stakeholders on national education policy, to help ensure that all ni-Vanuatu
have access to good quality and inclusive public education. The program's
office is located in Port Vila.
The selected
Finance Officer will ensure the sound financial management of the
organisation’s important work. Their work will include: maintaining the financial records of KOBLE and
its programs, produce expense acquittals against budgets, quarterly financial
reports and prepare for KOBLE’s internal and external audits. The finance
officer will also help to maintain office information systems, and assist the
Coordinator in administration and program matters as required.
Criteria:
The successful applicant will have strong
experience and demonstrable skills in using MYOB and Excel packages, have experience
in maintaining office and program financial records including payment of
accounts, salaries, tax and superannuation and VNPF lodgments, bank and credit
card reconciliations.
It is anticipated that the position
will commence in late November 2017.

The position is
initially for 12 months, with a strong prospect of continuing for further
years. The package, inclusive of employers and employees VNPF and medical benefits
is 1.52 million vatu pro rata. 60% equals 912,000 per annum.

The role
involves the repair and servicing of generators, switch boards and other
related equipment. This will suit a person with proven fault finding skills,
generator experience and an electrical/mechanical aptitude.
Other duties
include assisting resort staff with the servicing/troubleshooting of small
marine engines, etc. Some after-hours work may be necessary.
