| Airports Vanuatu Limited is the Government owned company that operates Bauerfield (Port Vila), Pekoa (Santo) and Whitegrass (Tanna) International Airports, the national Air Traffic Services system, and through it's wholly-owned subsidiary, Vanuatu Terminals Services, Air Freight Terminals in Port Vila and Santo.
AVL now wishes to recruit a highly motivated person to become an Airport Manager at White Grass Airport on Tanna.
The Airport Manager will be responsible for daily management of the air terminal building, general airport maintenance and for airport operations. He or she will report to the General Manager Operations at Port Vila and be required to manage the staff at the airport and work within the budgets set by head office management.
The successful applicant must be a team player, able to manage in a rapidly changing environment and be able to command the respect of the staff under his control.
They must be mature with an international outlook, and have a good knowledge of the aviation industry, or be prepared to learn very quickly. A university degree will be well regarded, but a good attitude and experience in management is more important.
AVL will provide supplementary training to the successful candidate to equip them to handle this very important role.
