The F&B attendant is to provide efficient and friendly guest service in the restaurant, the beach, the pool or in the villas. The F&B attendant is expected to know about food, beverage and guest's expectation in a five star establishment.

 

Selection Criteria:

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests with a warm and friendly attitude; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Assist guests with their chairs, sitting down, and their napkins.
• Offer to take drink order and served accordingly and rapidly.
• Provide menu, menu information and take orders as appropriate.
• Ensure all dockets are clearly written, given to the bar or the kitchen as well as the cashier. No items should be served if they are not properly recorded.
• Prepare and serve beverages as required to our guests
• Serve food and beverage to guests as required.
• Clean F&B equipment and dining room; prepare the required service mis-en-place.
• Responsible for ensuring that all served items are charged to the guests bills.
• Responsible for the satisfaction of the guests in the allocated section.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to General Manager.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel or a restaurant.
• Experienced in service standard.
• Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written). Fluency in another foreign language such as French is an advantage.
• Proven track of delighting customer or up-selling. Honest and caring.
• Highly motivated and passionate about the job and his/her career in the resort.

The primary role of the driver is to ensure that guests, staff and goods are being driven in a safe and responsible way.

 

Selection Criteria:

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Ensure the vehicles are cleaned and presentable at all time.
• Ensure the vehicles are fueled, water wipers tanks are full.
• Check daily the manifest to ensure the guests number matches the number of guests on board.
• Prior to departure, also check with Management, admin, kitchen and maintenance for supply requirements.
• Ensure all guests are accounted for when returning from town.
• The guest's transfer takes priority over shopping and if we need to do another round, in order to get the guests back on time that is what we do.
• Report any incidents/accidents to management for follow up.
• Ensure the vehicles are serviced in a timely manner, as per the mechanic's instruction.
• At all time, the driver must be presentable, amiable and friendly with guests and staff. When driving the vehicle, the driver is a Havannah ambassador and must understand he/she represent the company.
• You are not to play loud music whilst driving guests.
• You are not to use the mobile phone whilst driving.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests with a warm and friendly attitude; anticipate and address guests' activity needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.

• Must display excellent etiquette: Open & close doors for all guests, load and un load all luggage from guests.  
• At all time, drive with vigilance and care for the safety of the passengers. The driver must not exceed the 80km/h which is the highest road speed authorized by law.
• Never drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol as this would automatically terminate the driver's employment for serious gross misconduct and after due process there is a high risk you will forfeit all entitlements.

The selected individual or firm will be responsible for the following:

1. Conducting a comprehensive assessment of VNPF's ICT infrastructure, including hardware, software, network, and security systems.

3. Developing a detailed report outlining the findings of the audit, including recommendations for addressing identified vulnerabilities, enhancing security, and optimizing ICT infrastructure and operations.

Selection Criteria:

The selected individual or firm must have proven experience in conducting ICT infrastructure and security audits for organizations of similar size and complexity, in-depth knowledge of ICT infrastructure, security principles and best practices. Relevant certifications or higher qualifications in ICT security or a related field would be an advantage.

Vanuatu is among the most vulnerable countries on earth to the increasing impacts of climate change, including climate-related natural disasters and the effects of slow-onset events such as sea-level rise and ocean acidification.  In an effort to address these challenges, the Government of Vanuatu, through VMGD and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) have successfully secured financing from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) to develop and implement the Vanuatu Climate Information Services for Resilient Development (CISRD) Project.

The primary purpose of the CISRD project is to develop and strengthen climate resilient development in Vanuatu, with emphasis on supporting climate smart adaptation and disaster risk management policy and planning.  The project aims to do this by building institutional and community-based capacity and providing critical resources to facilitate transformational and sustainable change in the application of science-based evidence to inform decision-making for relevant policy development and planning processes.  This support will be delivered through provision of tailored Climate Information Services (CIS) specifically aligned with relevant national strategies for priority sectors, to address information gaps and priority needs of target beneficiaries ('next' and 'end'-users of CIS) at national, provincial and local community levels.

 

Job Desctiption:

The Climatologist CIS - Request and Outreach officer will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and the Climate Manager at VMGD. The Officer will assume direct responsibility to   co-ordinate data requests and climate outreach programs for VMGD. The main role of the Climatologist CIS - Request and Outreach officer but not limited to; is to attend and manage clients' requests. Prepare and provide data requested. Provide quarterly reports on number and types of requests and assist with organization of WMO awareness day/week.

This position is a full time and will be for 3 years contract. The Climatologist CIS - Request and Outreach officer will be based at the VMGD Department. The incumbent will report for day to day matters including agreement of work programs to the VMGD PIU Project Manager.

Qualification: Diploma or Year 13

Collectively, these benefits will include more specifically:

• Enhanced capacity and capability of target stakeholders to understand, access and apply CIS
• Enhanced CIS communications, knowledge products, tools, resources and associated stakeholder outreach processes
• Enhanced reliability, functionality, utility and timeliness of CIS delivery systems
• Enhanced scientific data, information and understanding of past, present and future climate to facilitate innovation and continuous improvement of reliable, accurate, effective and efficient CIS






Target sectors for the focus and implementation of the CISRD Project are:
• Agriculture
• Fisheries
• Tourism
• Water
• Infrastructure

 

Job Desctiption:

The Administration Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager. The Officer will assume direct responsibility for the administrative management and procurement related to the CISRD Project under VMGD, while also working closely with other project team members within the Project Implementation Unit (PIU). The main role of the administration officer will be to ensure that the CISRD Project under VMGD has the required operational support for effective project planning, implementation, monitoring, procurement and reporting.

The Administration Officer is responsible to:
• Provide support to the PMU and Field Officers on efficient and effective logistical support;
• Assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day running of the PIU, including organizational support to meetings;
• Specifically provide logistical support for travel nationally and internationally for the PIU and Field Officers;
• Assist and engage in procurement procedures.

 

Selection Criteria:

Qualification : Diploma.

Special Education (preferred): Administration Management, Environmental Studies or relevant discipline.

Experience:
At least two years of practical experience in project management and administration support; technical research and development of communication products in a medium to large organization.

Special Skills:
Administration Research and analytical skills. Organizational and office
                      management skills.

Thinking style:  
Analytical. Demonstrated ability to use initiative and to think outside the box in dealing with multiple tasks, demanding deadlines and with little supervision as well as strong understanding and appreciation of environmental ethics, values and priorities within the workplace.

Communication/Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communications skills with high command of spoken and written English including demonstrated experience with media, publications, communications and networking with internal and external stakeholders.

Behavioral Competencies:

Ability to work with integrity and maintain confidentiality. Must be able to use discretion when handling sensitive administrative information.
