Reporting to the Executive Chef, the duties for this role will include but not necessarily limited to the following:
• To ensure that all food prepared and presented coming from the kitchen is of the highest standard, according to the Standards of Food Quality and Presentation, by the Resort, Carry out and follow all directions given from the Sous Chef, Chef de Partie and Demi Chef. Ensure the Standards of Food Quality and Presentation are met at all times, whilst reducing wastage and controlling cost's.
• Before start to work ensure cleaning  your work area and equipment .
• Prepares daily mis en place according to work lists or verbal instructions given by the chef de partie/sous chef
• To maintain a good working relationship with your colleagues, and all other departments. Reports to the chef de partie and cooperates closely  with other members of the kitchen brigade.
• Ensures that acquired items are ready before service begins.
• Ensures that goods and food items are stored in the correct manner, which prevents contamination and minimizes food spoilage.
• Reports any equipment malfunctioning and problems to the chef de partie.
• Makes every attempt to prevent any damage, breakage, theft or loss of resort property.
• To collect requisitioned goods from the stores and fridges as directed by the c.d.p. Or demi.
• Reports to the chef de partie any need for required foodstuffs.
• Assisting the other chefs to run kitchen smoothly.
• Leaves their work area clean and organized and then hands over to incoming shift.
• To report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform, nametag and neat grooming applicable.
• Be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures and complied with at all times
• Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform and body language.
• Be polite and professional in any situation where the image of the resort is represented.
• To use and store kitchen equipment according to departmental procedure and manufacturer's instructions, and in a manner which ensures minimum breakage and loss.
• To attend all scheduled training, even if this falls outside of regular working hours.
• To attend briefings and meetings as requested.
• To attend any team building and extra –curricular sporting activities as requested.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the duties for this role will include but not necessarily limited to the following:

• Provide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality service to the hotel guests
• Works in the designated station as set by Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef
• Able to organise the assigned work area and efficiently put away orders
• Able to operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers
• Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff
• Responsible to maintain cleanliness, sanitation at the assigned work area
• Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
• Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist
• Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes and other food items
• Slice, grind and cooks meat and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods
• Have general knowledge of cooking temperatures, making soups & sauces, preparing entrees, vegetable preparation and a la carte cooking
• Set-up the station with par stocks of menu items, and prepare the dishes designated for that station
• Replenishes service line as needed and restock and prepare the workstation for the next shift
• Ensure that all products are stored properly in the correct location at the appropriate level at all times
• Communicate any assistance needed during busy periods and report any incidents to the Sous Chef to ensure optimum service to guests
• Minimise waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost
• Assists other Team Members in the kitchen when needed or perform any other tasks assigned by the Executive Chef

Duties of a skilled painter will include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
An experience Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces. Must have a practical and aesthetic benefits as an important good painter.Experience painter that is knowledgeable  in selecting the right material for their job. Must be experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures.Must be reliable and deft as well as possess great attention to detail in completing their duties.The goal is to deliver high-quality painting work.
Responsibilities
• Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
• Mix paint when necessary and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Apply varnish and other finishes
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

 

Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
• Proven experience as a painter and excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques and aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Good basic math skills and manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail and High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship

Job Desctiption:

Iririki Island Resort & Spa is seeking suitable candidates to fill the role of Commis Chef .

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the duties for this role will include but not necessarily limited to the following:

• Provide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality service to the hotel guests
• Works in the designated station as set by Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef
• Able to organise the assigned work area and efficiently put away orders
• Able to operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers
• Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff
• Responsible to maintain cleanliness, sanitation at the assigned work area
• Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
• Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist
• Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes and other food items
• Slice, grind and cooks meat and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods
• Have general knowledge of cooking temperatures, making soups & sauces, preparing entrees, vegetable preparation and a la carte cooking
• Set-up the station with par stocks of menu items, and prepare the dishes designated for that station
• Replenishes service line as needed and restock and prepare the workstation for the next shift
• Ensure that all products are stored properly in the correct location at the appropriate level at all times
• Communicate any assistance needed during busy periods and report any incidents to the Sous Chef to ensure optimum service to guests
• Minimise waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost
• Assists other Team Members in the kitchen when needed or perform any other tasks assigned by the Executive Chef

 

Selection Criteria:

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with speed and quality
• Great personal hygiene and grooming standards
• Should be able to communicate, read and write clearly and effectively
• Diploma from a culinary school is a plus
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings

Asco Motors is hiring 2 Service Technicians - 1 based in Port Vila, and 1 based in Luganville. The Service Technician is responsible to do the job right the first time by carrying out periodic maintenance service and general repairs with minimal to zero comebacks (Fix it right is followed). Responsibilities include: to complete all repair orders within the time allocated by the Team Leader and achieve monthly productivity and efficiency targets set by the Service Manager; and to ensure dealer quality control standards are obtained at all times.

Duties:
*Support the Service Manager to achieve department financial KPI's and business objectives. This is to be achieved through working diligently on assigned work to achieve high productivity and efficiency;
*To maintain Company assets and equipment in good working condition;
*Ensure security is maintained at the highest level of all workshop assets such as tooling & equipment, lubricant & material stock.
*Do the job right the first time: Fix-It-Right;
*Use all protective equipment to maintain the cleanliness and protection of the customer's vehicle (Seat Covers, Floor Mats, and Guard Covers);
*Ensure all customers' requests on the repair order are completed to a high quality standard;
*Escalate and problems or issued faced within the fixing of the vehicle to the Foreperson / Team Leader and provide any recommendations for additional work quickly and accurately;
*Strive to complete all repair orders within the time allotted and advise the Team Leader of any additional repair items found during a service or general repair;
*Request Team Leader to carry out inspection of all work completed;
*Clock-on daily to personal time card upon arrival and off upon departure;
*Maintain accurate daily clocking practices by clocking on and off every repair order, including changing of jobs (if several operation codes) on the R/O;
*Write down clear accurate account of all work performed onto the repair order and report all parts, oils and materials used.
*Ensure Quality Gates form is filled with all relevant information;
*Keep work area clean and tidy at all times.
*Promote good health and safety practices, follow and support the implementation of ANZEN requirements to ensure a safe working environment;
*Ensure protective equipment is worn at all times and if there is a lack of such protective equipment, to raise this to the Service Manager quickly;
*Ensure ongoing 5S activity is supported and standards maintained in the service department at all times.
*Attend learning and development training modules and programs as instructed by the Service Manager (On the Job training, Toyota Technician and Pro Technician Training);
*Inquire and discuss on a weekly basis the targets for the week (RO Closing, WIP, Productivity, Efficiency, Sales);
*Attend and contribute to regular weekly meetings with the Team Leader and Service Manager.
*To always ensure total Customer Satisfaction.
*Treat all customer's vehicles and belongings with care;
*Contribute to total customer satisfaction by carrying out of all services and repairs allocated on a daily basis.
*Treat other technical staff, administration and management with respect and communicate any issues.

The Warehouse & Inventory Controller will be based at Asco Motors Luganville branch, and is responsible for maintaining a satisfactory stock level to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and market penetration. They will carry out this responsibility by controlling cost through sourcing, fast and efficient ordering and maintaining parts records. They will also handle the overall operation of warehouse section, maintaining a balance inventory and strict implementation of the Kaizen System.

Duties:
1. Order and receive all parts, accessories, tyres, batteries and paints from all suppliers.
2. Ensure strict implementation of the Kaizen System in the warehouse section.
3. Ensure that all parts prices are regularly updated in the system and copies are forwarded to the National Parts Manager and CEO.
4. Ensure that inventory stocks in the computer system are consistent with physical stocks. Report any discrepancies to the NPM for further action.
5. Ensure that all catalogues, brochures and other pertinent documents of the business are properly filed and recorded for references.
6. Monitor the daily, weekly and monthly sales to ensure that the National Parts Manager and CEO are updated with the progress.
7. Provide strong support to all company projects and other sponsored events such as sales
promotions, inventory stock take and other activities.
8. Conduct market price survey of items currently in stock to update the National Parts Manager and CEO of the situation.
9. Ensure that all office equipment, machineries and lights are turned off during breaks or after
working hours to minimize expenses.
10. Performs other tasks that may be assigned to them from time to time by their superiors.

12. Promote recreation and sport programs in order to ensure that guests are aware of available opportunities and activities
13. Perform other related duties and assignment as required by the Management.
14.
