Job Desctiption:

The position reports to Senior Field Account Officer. The role encompasses microfinance field work services to low and average income earners and is responsible for identify and developing new clientele, managing loans and savings portfolio of clients and providing customer care.  Person is also responsible daily cash collections receipting and recording, daily balancing and banking of moneys and maintaining accurate, timely records and reports.

 

Selection Criteria:

Preferred Education
Year 13 leaving certificate. Formal training in the field of finance, accounting, business, economics, or community development from recognized institution.

Preferred Experience
1 or more years experience in the same field will be ideal. However, highly trainable fresh entries into the workforce are welcome.

• Responsible for Resort and Local Reservations;
• Handling all forms of correspondence;

• Responsible for ongoing Reservations staff training in conjunction with HR; and
• Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures with HR.

• Minimum of one year of hotel reservation management experience;
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (inc. Word, excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);
• Technological and accounting skills i.e., POS and RMS, Xero an advantage;

• Experience handling cash;
• Proven problem-solving skills;

• Ensure staff respect guest confidentiality and follow the company and legal standards relating to issuing room keys, cash transactions, accounting procedures and conduct towards guests;
• Monitor staff conduct and performance standards, work health and safety and ensure service expectations are maintained across all departments;
• Conduct regular and systematic meetings with Department Heads and staff to ensure open communication lines are maintained;
• Ensure all staff are extensively trained and perform their roles in a professional manner in line with company standards;
• Complete management reporting requirements to company standard at set schedule;
• Ensure all staff members are adequately informed and trained on new and existing resort policies and procedures;
• Communicate regularly with other Resort Managers to keep lines of communication open and to discuss information;
• Ensure resort is compliant with all company guidelines, as well as local laws, fire regulations and essential services;
• Ensure team members are trained and able to manage resort security by ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees;
• Continuously review resort policies and procedures ensuring all staff are aware of and comply with set requirements;
• Lead by example and conduct yourself in a professional manner that reflects the company in a positive way; and
• Any other duties as may reasonably be requested or required by the Operations Manager including other duties as the position evolves;
