We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person for the Position of Senior Operations Officer to be based at Luganville, Santo, Vanuatu. This is a senior position which demands a good standing of leadership and commitment to the effective and efficient administration and operations of ACOM Vanuatu.
This role oversees the effective administration and operations of ACOM Vanuatu. The role will also be responsible for human resources and the oversight of the management of ACOM Vanuatu lands and properties

 

Job Desctiption:

1. Liaison with Government Ministries on behalf of Dioceses and Church
2. Provision of general oversight of accounts staff, education staff and projects staff located within the ACoM Vanuatu office.  
3. Liaison with other Church partners on behalf of the Dioceses in Vanuatu and the Church
4. Liaison with the PHQ on matters required from the dioceses and Church in Vanuatu
5. Facilitation of Trust Board (Vanuatu) meetings and support Trustees.
6. Facilitation of and acting as the Secretariat, where appropriate, for the meetings of other Church Bodies
7. Co-ordination of Church and Diocesan property matters in Vanuatu
8. Organising and coordinating travel arrangements for persons visiting or traveling to Vanuatu
9. To oversee the ordering for Diocesan bookshops
10. To co-ordinate and facilitate the scholarship awards to Clergy and Lay in Vanuatu, in consultation with the Education Board

 

Selection Criteria:

The candidate we are looking for must have a good compliment of the following backgrounds:
• A minimum qualification of a certificate in Business (operations management) or higher.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and can work independently with minimum supervisor.
• Proven experience of working in a busy, multifunctional role.  
• Well organized, efficient and detail conscious with good administration skills to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective communicator with good command of oral and written.
• Be able to respond to call to attend to work outside of normal working hours,

 

Salary:

VT1,453,250

Job Desctiption:

Responsible for running an efficient Tyre & Battery Center and Products line and reporting to the CEO.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Manage product inventory, including stock handling, pricing, ordering, sales, and chase opportunities for improvement and further business
*Conduct quality control inspections on every vehicle prior to release to customer
*Provide monthly reporting on time and with minimal errors
*Ensure optimum turnover of monthly sales and inventory, and expenses are kept within budget
*Submit quotes and product information to customers when required as per Sailun/Motorlite/F&P or retail rates
*Ensure any product repairs are completed within the promised time
*Ensure that good business relationships with customers and product suppliers are maintained
*Ensure that Tyre, Battery and product ranges are properly presented in the showroom area
*Ensure that cleanliness and orderliness of the TYB Center are maintained by adopting the 5S (a. sort, b. set in order, c. shine, d. standardise & sustain) philosophy
*Stay up to date with new product information or changes to build product knowledge
*Address any customer complaints quickly and effectively
*Ensure that all machineries and equipment are properly handled and maintained
*Provide the lead to all company projects and other sponsored events such as sales promotions and inventory stock takes
*Provide training and support to department staff when needed
*Perform other tasks that may be assigned

 

Selection Criteria:

*Diploma in Management or a similar field
*10 years' previous experience in a Management role in a similar field
*Works well in a fast-paced, team-based environment
*Confident in managing other staff
*Goal-oriented, self-motivated and great interpersonal skills
*Have a valid driving license
