Job Desctiption:

Responsibilities and tasks

Financial
• Make daily entries into Xero financial system
• Ensure monthly Bank reconciliation, Xero reconciliation Petty Cash reconciliation and other accounting standards are maintained
• Monitor and control budgets including Petty Cash in the field for Sista Project Activities
• Develop monthly office operational budgets through excel and Xero Budget Manager
• Manage petty cash, payment of outstanding bills, and issue invoices through Xero
• Prepare and present regular monthly reports to Finance Manager (FM) and the Executive Director (ED)
• Provide advice to Executive Director on Sista's financial performance
• Monitor cash basis balances and financial forecasts
• Prepare donor funded program budget acquittals and be able to assist FM on both regional and international finance calls and meetings.  
• Properly sort and manage the archive of both hard and soft copy receipts
• Do Staff Payroll and tracking of sick leave








Administration
• Ensure Sista's Administration is in compliance with Vanuatu Law  
• Proper Management and Sorting of Service Provider Contracts, Sista Staff Contracts, Donor Contracts, Policies and other Project work plans and documents in the Sista G-Drive.
• Track and Manage Sista Assets and Equipment
• Take on other assignments as given by management

Planning:
• Assist Sista's financial annual planning and goal achievement by advising the Finance Manager and the Executive Director through financial reporting and analyzing.  
• Monitor and advise on the implementation of project budgets and assist the Finance Manager and the Executive Director on developing Donor budget proposals

 

Selection Criteria:

● Minimum of two years' experience in excel budgeting and Xero, preferably in non-governmental organizations
● Have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize his/her tasks
● Experience using Xero software
● Proven numeracy and financial analysis / planning skills
● Experience using financial tracking systems, XERO accounting system preferred
● Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize activities in a fast moving office
● Demonstrated the ability to take initiative and leadership and be able to manage multitask

 

Salary:

60, 000 VT to 100, 000 VT per Month based on experience
