Wan Smolbag Theatre is a fast paced and dynamic organization with 130 staff across its three centers in Port Vila, Luganville and Pentecost. WSB has youth programs, health programs, sports, film, theatre, and environmental programs.
Job Desctiption:
Wan Smolbag Nutrition Centre is offering an opportunity for a new full time staff member to join our busy team.
We are looking for an individual who has good cooking skills and is eager to learn about making healthy nutritious food. This is an active role that needs someone with plenty of energy.
As with all staff we would expect the successful candidate to help with all aspects of the Nutrition Centre - as all staff participate with shopping, receipting, classes, workshops and cleaning especially during busy periods.
WSB is a child safe and friendly organization, and all applicants are required undergo our child safe recruitment procedures and sign our Child Protection Policy.
Selection Criteria:
• Must have good customer service skills with an ability to work in a youth friendly environment
• Strong, active person - happy to work in a busy kitchen.
• Some understanding of English
• Some food product knowledge
• previous cooking experience – and interested to learn about healthy cooking
• An interest in learning new skills
• Barista experience would be useful
• Suitable for APTC catering graduate or someone with at least 2 years prior professional kitchen work experience
• Food safety certificate (sapos we yu gat).
Salary:
45,000Vt + per month depending on experience
