The Vanuatu National Provident Fund (VNPF) is Vanuatu's only social security system, established in 1986 under the Vanuatu National Provident Fund Act [CAP 189] to help provide financial security to workers when they reach retirement age.
Job Desctiption:
VNPF is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position Board Secretary and Legal Advisor.
This position is part of the Executive team and reports directly to the General Manager. The role entails ensuring all statutory and corporate administrative requirements are met, and that all necessary support is provided to the VNPF and Subsidiary Boards.
The Board secretary will also act as secretary to any other committees appointed by the Board
They must also ensure there is efficient and effective maintenance of meeting records and provide information assistance to Board Members as needed. The role of the Board Secretary and Legal Advisor requires the ability to interpret local laws and assist in reviewing legal materials such as any legislative changes. Previous secretarial experience is desirable.
