Job Desctiption:

A unique opportunity for an experienced sports professional with a high level of energy and drive to work with this highly respected sporting organization as Sports Development Officer.
This is a full-time 4-year Term contract position whose terms of reference will be specified in the Contract.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
• A minimum 5 years in Sports Administration and/or general Administration.
• Evidence of leadership in sport (paid or volunteer)
• High level of facilitation skills.
• Good understanding of sports organizations & system in Vanuatu.
• Excellent verbal and written skills and computer literacy.
• Enthusiastic about developing sports in Vanuatu.
• Fluent in reading and writing English and Bislama with good understanding of French.
• Possess technical knowledge of sports system as it relates to VASANOC National Federations, Government and Non-Government Organizations.
• Able to establish strong networks and relationships with VASANOC stakeholders & communities regarding sports.
• Able to lead & participate in a team environment.
• Has high standard of oral and personal presentation skills.
• Able to find solutions to problems faced in implementation of duties.
• Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Able to teach & willing to learn.

DESIRABLE
• Possess a valid driving license.

Job Desctiption:

Main mission : Assist the SSP Finance department with accounting assignments on invoice entry and vendor payment, accounts payable reconciliation, filing of documents, preparation of customs declaration, and provide back up to the accounts receivable line item.
Main responsibilities:
- Daily entry of local and foreign supplier invoices in SAGE for the SSP Santo warehouse.
- Preparation of POs, and supplier payments (local and foreign), in the means of payment,
- Preparation of the monthly customs declaration
- File of capex sanctions to be maintained.
- Reconciliation of the balance of suppliers of Santo
- Calculation of exchange rate differences after each foreign supplier payment
- Send by email to RAF the payment requests for validation
- Ensure the follow-up of customs declarations and product transfers with customs
- Ensure the back up to the account receivable line item, (cash report entry, customer reminders, sending of customer
- customer statements, follow-up of petty cash)
- Filing of invoices and other documents

 

Selection Criteria:

• Ability to be self motivated and work independently without supervision
• Accounting diploma (BEP, BAC, Licence)
• Good understanding and upholding of Company Policies
• At least 3 years experience in similar position in public or private sector
• Competent use of data processing tools (MS word, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to work, during weekends and after normal working hours.
• English written and spoken
