Job Desctiption:
Principal responsibility of the Finance and Administration Officer is to professionally manage financial records for the businesses and maintain an organized office environment. This position offers challenge and variety within the Accounts team in various aspects of the accounting function, including, AP, AR, payroll processing and associated tasks under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions;
• Liaison with suppliers and customers;
• Fortnightly processing of payroll and associated tasks;
• Processing of electronic funds transfers;
• Daily reconciliation of bank accounts; and
• Assistance with monthly account reconciliation and reporting.
You will be expected to be able to work as a team player under limited supervision, complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, be organized, and maintain business and client confidentiality.
Selection Criteria:
Diploma/Degree in Commerce with specialization in Accountancy / Finance and at least 2 years' experience of working in the rank of Accounts Officer/Junior Accounts Officer/Section Officer in a Government project.
Effective communication skills;
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Team player, energetic with positive attitude towards team.
Ability to use EDI or accounting software.
Understanding & experience in the logistics and shipping industry is an advantage.
High level accuracy and attention to detail, Timeliness and punctuality will be a major KPI.
