Organisation Description:
The Pacific Sports Partnership (PSP) is an Australian Aid funded program with regional sports organisations in the Pacific to deliver targeted sport for development activities. The overall goal of Pacific Sports Partnerships Let's Swim programs in Vanuatu is to provide the opportunity for ni-Vanuatu to develop the life skill of swimming in an open and supportive environment.
The PSP Swimming program, administered regionally by Swimming Australia, Ltd (SAL) and Oceania Swimming Association (OSA), works with Wan Smolbag and Vanuatu Aquatics Federation through to deliver aquatic programs for social development in SHEFA province.
Job Desctiption:
You will lead a team of 12 people in implementing this program across 12 communities in SHEFA.
This main responsibilities of this position are:
• Ensure effective and inclusive strategies for activity delivery are developed
• Organise programs and activities in accordance with the PSP workplan and budget
• Work with local government, sporting bodies, NGOs and private sector stakeholders to ensure the program goals are met.
• Identify and analyse program risks
• Manage a team with of both full time and part time staff and volunteers
• Ensure activity and reporting timelines are met
• Manage a budget and operating plan for the program
• Identify training and upskilling activities for the program
• Taking note of all major activities and outcomes to be included in the report.
• Identifying training and upskilling activities
• Ensuring M&E department collect relevant data and ensure they are aware of activities.
• Completion and submission of reports in a timely fashion.
Selection Criteria:
• 3+ years experience in managing people
• 3+ years experience in implementing community programs that empower youth and women
• 3+ years experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with communities and governments/NGOs
• Displays commitment to Vanuatu Aquatics Federation's purpose and values in all interactions.
• Behaves in an honest and trustworthy manner, treats others fairly, maintains high levels of confidentiality, and is open about one's own misjudgments or mistakes.
• Displays a high level of attention to detail
• Displays commitment to safety and swimming
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports to donors

Terms and Conditions: • Employment is by way of a contractual agreement between Wan Smolbag, Vanuatu Aquatics Federation and the employee • Employees have police clearance and meet requirements in the Wan Smolbag/Vanuatu Aquatics Federation Child Protection Policy • Some out-of-hours work may be required in this position; time will be compensated through TOIL • Probation period of 3 months • Travel around Efate is required in this position. • Person must be based in Port Vila • Employee must have appropriate work visa • The contract is a four-month contract with possibility for a two-four year extension under a new program • Competitive salary package
