for various travelers. Its operation started in October 1991 when it was
first known as “Windsor Hotel International” and it was re-branded to “The
Melanesian Port Vila” in July 1997.
The hotel benefits from its excellent location which enables us to provide all of our guests an easy access to CBD and tourist attractions such as restaurants. The Melanesian Port Vila has 75 rooms with different room types ranging from Studio, Standard, Superior type to One and Two Bedroom Apartments. |

Job Description
|
|
• Providing good customer
service
• Meet and greet guests on check-in and out of the hotel • Assisting guests with their luggage • Preparing guest welcome drinks and welcoming them at the hotel • Keep the lobby area of the hotel clean, tidy and welcoming to the guest • Answering various queries from guests • Performing basic maintenance duties • Advising guests on hotel facilities • Take and deliver guests messages • Responsible for guest safety and security • Works in conjunction with other departments to maintain safety and security of hotel guests and staff • Carry out security surveillance around the hotel and maintain all security systems and procedures at all times • Update security log book daily • Perform other duties as assigned. |

Selection Criteria
|
|
• Must be year 10 to 13
leaver
• Must have at least 3 years of previous experience in porter/ bellman in a 3 to 4 star hotel • Must be professional, courteous and presentable • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills • Be willing to work a variety of shifts, including Weekends and Public Holidays • Be willing to work long hours during busy period • Be punctual and trustworthy • Be willing to learn new tasks • Have a clean police report • Have the ability to work with less supervision • Must be a Ni-Vanuatu citizen residing in Port Vila. |
