The Pacific Aviation
Safety Office (PASO) is currently implementing the Pacific Aviation Safety
Office Reform Project (PASO Reform Project), supported by the World Bank. The
PASO Reform Project has the development objective to ensure effective
regional delivery of aviation safety and security oversight in Pacific Island
Countries by strengthening the Pacific Aviation Safety Office’s technical and
coordination capacity. The project’s implementing Entity is PASO, with
project implementation support from the Technical and Fiduciary Services Unit
(TFSU) of the Pacific Aviation Investment Program (PAIP).

Job Description
|
The Marketing &
Communications Consultancy is required to develop appropriate and up-to-date
Marketing and Communications (M & C) Strategy for the Pacific Aviation
Safety Office.
|
Selection Criteria
|
- Demonstrated experience
of at least five (5) years in marketing or communication roles;
- Relevant experience with Small and Medium Enterprise clients of similar size and with comparable M & C needs to those of PASO - Excellent verbal, written and presentation, communication skills in English; - Cultural sensitivity and demonstrated understanding of Pacific context. |

looking for a new head cook for a small, growing café. The head cook will undertake the café daily
operations; improve and create recipes using home grown, seasonal or locally
sourced produce for the tourist market; control stock, and grow sales.
Job Description: • Carry out, control and direct food preparation process and related activities • Be able to prepare all food items to order, following standard recipes and procedures with specific time limits • Construct menus with new or existing dishes ensuring the variety and quality • Create excellent presentation of dishes for the customer • Carry out stocktakes and plan orders of equipment & ingredients according to identified shortages • Arrange for repairs when necessary • Strive to resolve issues when they arise • Maintain records of sales • Comply with nutrition, sanitation and safety standards • Maintain a clean, tidy & organised kitchen • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers |
Selection Criteria
|
• Previous commercial
kitchen experience of at least 3 - 5 years and at least one qualification in
food preparation and/or kitchen work is essential.
• Be punctual, neat and tidy and maintain high level of hygiene • Be able to create menus from fresh local produce in season • Should be confident in all areas of kitchen operation • Possess good interpersonal skills • Be very customer focused • Be a problem solver • Experience with handling cash and recording sales • Experience managing/supervising subordinates • Be a team player and work well under pressure • Vanuatu citizens only • Willing & able to travel to Rentapao for work |

BUGGY DRIVER:
To ensure your buggy is clean before starting duty. Check the buggy at regular intervals for cleanliness whilst on duty. As guest approaches, stands with proper body posture next to the club car and greets guest with a smile. While driving, friendly and polite conversation may be engaged. Buggies should not be driven fast, should be driven smoothly, taking special care of the guest’s comfort, stability and security. It is compulsory when embarking and disembarking guests, to step out and check before going. Stick to your route as assigned at the start of your shift. The only exception for door to door pick up and drop off is for special buggy priority guests which are define as per management only. Club cars are not left long unattended in front of the hotel, or in any other guest area. Mobile phones shall not be used while driving, unless for professional use. Cautiously bring the club car to halt before answering the phone. Buggy drivers are not allowed to drive the guest through back of house area. For your safety, buggy drivers are not allowed to overload the buggy. Safety policy – one seat can be occupied by two clients maximum |
