Okeanos Sustainable Sea Transport Ltd is currently looking for a local crew:
2x Deck-watch or Captain 20GT ticket.
Our goal is to develop sustainable tourism and get involved in marine conservation. The activities of the vaka will include eco-tourism, expeditions and disaster relief.

Our boat is a Vaka Motu, a traditional Polynesian catamaran (15m) using only sails, solar panels and coconut oil for our engines. This Vaka has arrived in Vanuatu after PAM and helped transporting crops and supplies to the damaged islands. Having local, committed, crew members is now essential for us.The successful applicants will be trained by our current crew. 
    Criteria:
    The applicant must be:
    • Fluent in English or French, and Bislama
    • Punctual, honest and have a strong desire to work, committed on the long run
    • Customer friendly
    • Applicants need a safety certificate
    • Able to work as part of a team.Able to work Monday - Sunday including public holidays and split shifts
    • Basic cooking skills are an advantage but not required
    • Applicants with previous sailing experience are preferred
    • Applicants living in Port-Vila are preferred.
