Job Description:
The Vanuatu Red Cross Society, working jointly with the support of the French Red Cross, is seeking applications from dynamic and highly motivated persons to immediately fill up the following position. 

Applicants are required to demonstrate the following:

Criteria:
Minimum 3 year experience of project management if possible in the field of Hygiene Promotion 
3 to 5 year of experience will be preferred.

Demonstrated experience and competencies in at least three (3) of the following sectors:
  • Hygiene or WASH projects/programs, Public health, Nurse, Health promotion, particularly in field of community based water and sanitation 
  • Community based program
  • Capacity building/training and awareness
  • Monitoring and evaluation of project activities
  • Computer skills (Word, excel…)
  • Knowledge of North Tanna communities appreciated
  • PHAST and CHAST activities (Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Training & Children Hygiene and Sanitation Training) 
University Degree, Diploma or certificate in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, Rural development, facilitation or human development will be an asset.
Ability and flexibility to travel regularly in the communities will be expected. The HP Officer will be based in Lenakel, Tanna. It is possible it will be required to spend several days within communities.
