Job Description:
ActionAid is looking for an experienced Finance and Admin Officer. This is a part-time role (2-3 days p/w) for 12 months based in Port Vila but may be extended. The purpose of this position is to coordinate the financial and administrative affairs of the Vanuatu office, including financial record keeping, documentation, analysis and monthly and donor reporting. The Finance and Admin Officer is responsible for implementation of financial policies and accounting practices of ActionAid, and maintaining financial records, preparation of cash / bank reconciliation statement and monthly financial reports.

Criteria:
  • Diploma or degree in accounting or other relevant qualification
  • Able to work independently and play a proactive role in the finance and office management 
  • Experience working in the finance or accounts department of another organisation
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good administration and organisation skills

        Reporting to the Country Program Manager and based in Port Vila, this role is designed to support Ni-Vanuatu girls and young women to lift their voices and engagement on issues affecting their lives. Through the establishment of forums for in and out of school girls, this initiative is designed to provide a safe space for girls to learn about their rights and gain information on issues that are important to them and protection mechanisms that exist to support them. The ideal candidate will be passionate about girls’ rights, be a strong community facilitator and communicator and have the capacity to build productive relationships with relevant stakeholders to maximise program results and linkages with existing initiatives.

              La personne retenue participera à la gestion technique de la société Ballande Vanuatu Limited dont l’activité principale est l’élevage Bovins mais aussi Porcins.               • La collecte et saisie de données techniques (calendrier parcellaire, pesées, observations…)
              • La participation à la gestion du parc d’engins et outillages agricoles
              • La gestion de la société en l’absence du Responsable d’exploitation Agricole.

                    Key Purpose of these positions
