Job Description:

INCITE is recruiting on behalf of their client, a large retailer based in Port Vila. Our client requires a full-time ICT Systems Administrator to oversee all IT administrative tasks ranging from investigating and diagnosing PC and network problems, collecting IT usage stats, and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions. You’ll also assist employees with some of their more basic computer needs, like setting up new users and managing back-up, security and passwords. 

INCITE provides a total managed solution for our client and will be offering daily support to the ICT Systems Administrator, having a close working relationship. INCITES experienced team will carry out on the job induction and on the job training. 
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Windows based PCs and laptops
  • Supporting high end Virtualised Servers
  • Supporting local area and wide area networks, including vLANs
  • Supporting multiple Fibre and Wireless Internet connections
  • Supporting a State of the Art active scanning Firewall
  • Supporting multiple wireless access devices, a PABX, and Video Surveillance Equipment.
Criteria: 
  • minimum of 3 years  experience supporting Windows PCs and networks (Only applicants with this experience will be considered)
  • Possess a disciplined approach to their work and a strong service ethic
  • Ability to self manage with good time management
  • Confident communication skills and fluent in English, both verbal and written

    Salary:

    Salary will be dependent upon the successful applicant’s experience with renumeration ranging from VT1.2M to VT1.6M.

    The Government of Vanuatu has received financing from the World Bank for three large-scale national adaptation and disaster risk reduction projects designed to address Vanuatu's immediate climate change adaptation needs, mitigate natural disaster risks, and enhance forest carbon stocks, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the two Procurement Officer positions.

    The Procurement Officer will work with the PMU in the implementation of these three projects with the respective implementing agencies, and will be responsible for coordination and completion of procurement of goods, works, and non consulting services in accordance with the Financing Agreements and the World Bank Guidelines.
    The Procurement Officer will be contracted for one year, with three months probationary period, which may be extended and be based in the VMGD Project Management Unit.

    VMGD now invites eligible Individual Consultants ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services.

    The shortlisting criteria are as follows.

    To assist and support the village communities in East Santo, with emphasis on building sustainable employment and income opportunities, and improving the environment in which they live. To assist the communtiies of East Coast Santo  to plan and implement community development goals.  To ensure transparency, accountability and high quality project implementation.

    Background:
    The Lataro Island Community Development  Project seeks to support positive community development outcomes for communities on the East Coast of Santo.  The  project supports ideals of equity and sustainable environmental management.

    • Assist with the development of a monitoring and evaluation strategy to ensure activities achieve their objectives, and ensure timely action is taken where objectives are not being met
    • Attend to any other duty delegated by the Country Programme Team Leader and/or Finance Manager.

    Criteria: 
    Qualifications/Experience:
    • A tertiary qualification in a relevant area, preferably at Bachelor’s Degree level or above
    • At least five years’ personal experience working with communities ensuring a working knowledge of the country’s community and local governance structures, knowledge and understanding of socio-economic, political and demographic situation of the country
    • Extensive experience in community engagement using participatory action tools and in facilitating community training and workshops
    • Experience in financial reporting
    • Experience in developing and strengthening partnerships within the Government and NGO community will be an added advantage and hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects and programmes
    • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
