The program includes a strong focus on improving literacy and numeracy out comes in the early years of primary education. VESP is supported by donor partners under a Joint Partnership Arrangements between the Government of Vanuatu, Australia and New Zeland.
Coffey is currently seeking applications for the following four positions to contribute to achieving the program objectives of the Vanuatu Education Support Program.

The Communications Strategy Coordinator (CSC) will have primary responsibility for assisting The Ministry of Education and Training with the implementation of an integrated communication/community advocacy program in support of the key initiatives of the Vanuatu Education Support Program. The CSC will:
  • Develop activities to build awareness, identify entry points and engagement with communities and stakeholders;
  • Develop quality promotional materials in line with appropriate guidelines for the program
  • Ensure that the program pursues appropriate public relations opportunities;
  • Support internal and external stakeholders to share experience and lessons learned.

                              Increasing Resilience to Climate Change and Natural Hazards (IRCCNH) Project
                              Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction (MDRR) Project

                              The Vanuatu Department of the Meteorological and Geo-hazard Department (VGMD) and National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) have secured funding from the World Bank for three large-scale national adaptation and disaster risk reduction projects designed to address Vanuatu's immediate climate change adaptation needs and mitigate natural disaster risks.

                              The Engineer/Architech will work with the MPU/VMGD in the implementation of these three projects with the respective implementing agencies. The Engineer/Architect will be contracted to ensure that appropriate, time and cost effective procurement of works and related goods and reporting are met during the course of the projects and to build capacity of the PMU for works design and procurement in accordance with the government requirements. The Engineer/Architect, acting in accordance with agreed Projects budgets and guidelines, will be responsible for the day-to-day activities relating to all works procurement under IRCCNH and MDRR.
