The Ministry of Justice and Community Services wishes to recruit experienced and qualified person to fill up the following position:

A person is disqualified for appoinment as Land Ombudsman if he or she:

a) Is a member of Parliament, the Malvatumauri Council of chiefs or a Provincial Government Council, or

b)Holds any Public Office. Or

c) Exercise the position of responsibility within a political party.

- Has knowledge, Understanding and appreciation of culture, traditions and values indigineous citizen,

- Has an understanding of the land laws in Vanuatu, and

- Is of high intergrity and competence, and

- Has an apprpriate academic qualification and suitable experience in public and private sector, and

- Is politically independent, and

- Has not been convicted and sentenced on a criminal charge(not being a road traffic offence) and

- Is capable of discharging his or her duties without fear or favour, and

- Is high of standing in the community.
