The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Sector Strengthening Program is an Australian Government initiative which aims to support provincial economic development through targeted training and business development support services.



The Skills Planning Consultant will provide leadership in the data collection, analysis and documentation of priority provincial skill demand in support of economic growth across key sectors (Tourism, Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, Trades), based on an environmental scan model.



This role will focus initially on the revision of existing Skill Development Plans for Sanma and Malampa provinces and the development of a Skill Development Plan for Torba province, based on the established model. The Plans are to be used by provincial TVET Centres to ensure skill development services are aligned to priority sectoral demand.



The position will be located in Luganville, Santo with significant travel to other provinces. It will initially be for a duration of three months, with potential for a second phase of an additional three months, based in Port Vila, for the development of Skills Development Plans for Tafea, Shefa and Penama provinces.
