| The Overall goal of Save the Children Vanuatu Emergencies program is to work closely with the Ministry of Education, Provincial Education Officers and Save the Children Island Coordinators to support the planning and implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaption activities, this includes curriculum resource development, |
| school safety planning, teaching training an professional development in the formal education sector and community based settings in Vanuatu. |

| Duties and responsibilities: |
| Support the Vanuatu Country office emergency preparedness and disaster risk reduction activities by assisting with planning, developing and delivering high quality training programs. |
| Interested applicant must possess the following requirements: |
| Criteria: |
| - Have experience in planning and organizing training activities; Demonstrate knowledge and experience in facilitating and delivering training and professional development and have prior experience |
| working in the Pacific; Display highly developed verbal and written communication skills, fluency in spoken English language, Pidgin and or French language skills are highly desirable |
| - Display highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in complex/multi-cultural environment, ability to plan and coordinate people and logistics; Have facilitation and |
| adult learning and strong time management and organizational skills |
| - Have essential qualification in a relevant discipline (Education, development studies, and social sciences); Demonstrate commitment to Save the Children Australia’s purpose and values; Have strong |
| commitment to providing high levels of customer service and building the capacity of a team |
| - Display high levels of self-motivation and initiative; Have ownership and accountability of one’s work; Possess high levels of confidentiality and integrity (relating to both data and verbal |
| communication; Be willing to travel extensively within Vanuatu. |
