CARE International in Vanuatu is looking for Disaster Risk Reduction/Climate Change Adaptation Field officers to work on community based projects in remote areas of the islands of Futuna, Maewo, Santo and Vanua Lava. Duties and responsibilities:

1) Ensure the effective and efficient implementation of DRR/ CCA activities according to the activity plan and allocated budget

2) Ensure CARE’s Programming Principles, in particular gender and rights-based approaches, are applied into project implementation activities

3) Ensure good mobilization and ownership of local partners, communities members, authorities and teachers according to activities planned

4) Provide all trainings on DRR concepts, Hazards, climate change, emergency preparedness, schools safety… as requested

5) Collect relevant data and information needed to ensure the proper application of the monitoring system
