The Vanuatu Church Partnership Program (VCPP) is an AusAID-funded program aimed

at enabling the Vanuatu Christian Council and Churches in Vanuatu, both individually and

collectively, to play an increasingly recognized and effective role in improving their governance

and service delivery at national and local levels.

The VCPP is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and skilled person with strong Christian value

and background to coordinate the program activities. The position offers an outstanding

opportunity for a person with relevant tertiary qualifications to play a key role in a modern,

innovative development project that will make a difference in communities across Vanuatu. The Coordinator will head a Secretariat team under the direction of the VCPP Partnership Group and Governing Council and will be supported by the Vanuatu Christian Council and a

consultant facilitator

The Coordinator is the key person in Vanuatu responsible to:

• Facilitate networking and ongoing relationships between the Churches and Church agencies of the VCPP,

• Foster networking between the churches, Gov-Vanuatu, AusAlD, Traditional Vanuatu leadership, Vanuatu Council of Churches, PNGCPR Vanuatu Women’s Group, and Australian NGO’s;

• Prepare annual VCPP Secretariat work plans and related budgets that enable the effective

coordination of the Program in Vanuatu;

• Undertake logistical arrangements for program wide events and meeting of Partnership Group and Governing Council;

• Ensure a high level of accountability, transparency and participation throughout the program.
