| The Pacific Institute of Public Policy, or PiPP as we like to call it, is an independent, non-partisan and not-for-profit think tank based in Port Villa, Vanuatu. PiPP exists to stimulate and support policy debate in the Pacific by conducting research grounded in empirical analysis, communicating research outcomes En user relevant languages and formats, and providing |
| inclusive forums for debate. Within the role of Communications Manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading and executing the communications activities and strategies both internally and externally. Job descriptions are available on request. The successful candidate will: |
| 1) Design and deliver innovative communication materials to be used for targeted and engaging knowledge dissemination (including audio, visual, internet and print) |
| 2) Provide editorial support for research and programme activities |
| 3) Design and oversee the application of a communications style manual to ensure consistent, professional and engaging outputs |
| 4) Liaise with regional and international media, research, government civil society stakeholders |
| 5) Represent the institute in the media |
| Interested applicants must have the following requirements: |
| Criteria: |
| - Have a background in journalism or related discipline; At least 2 years relevant management experience; Be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and editing skills; Excellent eye for detail; Have |
| exceptional communications skills; Ability to develop close working relationships with key stakeholders; Will have an understanding of the main policy issues in the Pacific region and internationally. |
