The Vanuatu Police Force is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for permanent engagement for the role of Force Communications Officer. The Position is at Lieutenant Rank or equivalent level. The role reports to the Force Plans and Operations Manager. The VPF has reviewed its communications arrangements. The primary

responsibility of the role will be to establish and maintain a radio network for the VPF commands, both land and sea.

Duties are:

1) Responsible for the efficient day to day running of the VPF communications network including leading a small team

2) Communications administration

3) Drafting communications course instructions and programs

4) Lecturing on communication courses

5) Conduct communications equipment inspections throughout Vanuatu, identify and initiate action when required

6) Provide advice to VPF senior officers on the Force communications network

7) Act as Duty Officer in the Operations Room as required.
