Job Description
|
* Works as a Receptionist,
Cashier, and Night Auditor
* Responsible for checking guests in and out of the Hotel * Responsible for handling payments * Issue room keys, information, and guests messages, etc * Works in conjunction with the porter/security to assist guests into their rooms * Answer various inquiries from guests * Liaise with housekeeping department on all guests' rooms prior to check-in * Arranges transfers for guests * Compute bills using Room Master property management system, collect payment and make change for guests * Run various reports on the computer for management * Perform other duties as assigned. |

Must be year 10 to 13
school level
Must have at least 3 years of previous experience in front office in a 3 to 4 star hotel Must be a Vanuatu citizen currently living in Port Vila Possess good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills Be willing to work long hours during busy period Be willing to work a variety of shifts, including Weekends and Public Holidays Be punctual and trustworthy Be willing to learn new tasks Have a clean police report Have the ability to work with less supervision French speaking is preferred. |

Job Description

• Providing good customer
service
• Meet and greet guests on check-in and out of the hotel • Assisting guests with their luggage • Preparing guest welcome drinks and welcoming them at the hotel • Keep the lobby area of the hotel clean, tidy and welcoming to the guest • Answering various queries from guests • Performing basic maintenance duties • Advising guests on hotel facilities • Take and deliver guests messages • Responsible for guest safety and security • Works in conjunction with other departments to maintain safety and security of hotel guests and staff • Carry out security surveillance around the hotel and maintain all security systems and procedures at all times • Update security log book daily • Perform other duties as assigned. |

The Department of Water
Resources (DOWR) under the aegis of the Ministry of Lands and Natural
Resources (MLNR) is the nation agency responsible for the water sector in
Vanuatu. DOWR is both an implementing agency and a regulator with primary
focus on community water supplies. DOWR was established in 2016 after
amendment to the Water Supply Act of 2002 which saw the amalgamation of the
urban water services under Public Works Department and the Rural Water Supply
and Water Resources Unit of the former Department of Geology, Mines and Water
Resources.
With the implementation of the key policy: Vanuatu National Water Policy (2017-2030), DOWR is rolling out the National Implementation Plan (NIP) which is a framework for identifying, prioritizing and implementing community water supplies around Vanuatu. The framework streamlines and identify funding resources and promotes the ability for collaboration with different implementing partners on priorities identified at Provincial level. As part of preparation and capacity building towards successfully implementing NIP, DOWR is putting effort into development of its capacity in different areas and one important one is in terms of procurement and contract management. The Vanuatu National Water Policy seeks to deliver the policy objectives established by the National Sustainable Development Plan (2016-2030). |

Job Description

The consultant will be
required to support DOWR in its capacity for procurement by establishing
internal procurement guidelines, contract management framework and training
of staff on existing Government of Vanuatu standard procurement procedures.
The consultant is also required to develop an internal framework to manage
contracts that DOWR is delegating to third parties.
