The Position |
Air Vanuatu is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join it's team. The selected candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects the organisation, and will provide strategic financial input to senior management. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting processes, the successful CFO will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the organisation, and support the Executive team in developing and implementing organisational growth strategies. |
Essential Selection Criteria |
► Proven experience (10+ years) as CFO or in other senior financial leadership positions within the a large company. |
► Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting |
► Chartered Accountant or relevant practicing Accountant certification |
► Sound knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. |
► Excellent written communication and public speaking skills in English |
Desirable Selection Criteria |
► French language skills |
► Knowledge of IFRS financial reporting standards |
► Experience working in the aviation industry |
► Clear Police Record |

(DoWR) under the auspices of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, was
set up to ensure sustainable and equitable access to safe water and
sanitation for the people of Vanuatu to support improved public health and
promote social and economic development.

Job Description
|
In 2017, a ‘National Implementation
Plan for Safe and Secure Drinking Water’ (NIP), was approved by the National
Water Advisor Council (NWAC). The NIP
is a national framework for achieving Vanuatu’s vision of 100% access to
safely managed drinking water by 2030. The NIP defines 2 key implementation
mechanisms: (1) ‘Drinking Water Safety and Security Plans’ (DWSSP) which is a
community level planning tool and data gathering mechanism that enables the
DoWR to plan and implement water infrastructure investments; and (2) the
‘Capital Assistance Programme’ (CAP) which is the financing and procurement
mechanism that allows DoWR to deliver water infrastructure projects for
communities that have completed a DWSSP. The NIP aims to complete DWSSPs for
all 2000 Vanuatu communities by 2030.
MFAT has funded the DoWR directly to implement the NIP and CAP through Government smart stream processes. As such DoWR staff need to be able to use smart stream to create regular donor reports. In addition, new staff have been hired, who need to support navigating the Tender Process. Please download the ToR for the full scope. |

After the DWSSP, it is envisioned community members will manage their
water systems. The formation of a
water committee, plumbers training, and community management training will
further strengthen the communities ability to manage their water
systems. After community led design
and construction of water system, it is hoped that communities can be left
with an operation and maintenance manual that outlines necessary actions to
manage their water system. The consultant will create standard Operations and
Maintenance manuals for surface water, ground water and rain water supply
systems that can be updated specifically for each system constructed.

Peace Corps Vanuatu wishes to recruit up to two Ni-Vanuatu persons for the short-term position of Language, Culture and Technical Trainers (LCTTs). The LCTTs will provide Bislama language training to the new Peace Corps Volunteers while facilitating their understanding of Vanuatu's culture. The LCTTs will also assist with the facilitation of basic technical skill competencies, specific to the Volunteer assignment. Therefore, experience in the education and health sector will be advantageous. The

The Partnership is now seeking proposals from specialists to join its Industry Coaches and Trainers in its Skills for Tourism sub-program for the development and delivery of an E-Tourism Marketing Masterclass for local tourism operators. Objectives of this masterclass will include: 1. Supporting local tourism operators to address the growing technology and skills gap in online tourism marketing; 2.
