REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL- E-TOURISM MARKETING COACH
Vanuatu Skills Partnership (TVET) is a collaboration between the Governments of Vanuatu and Australia to support sustainable economic through targeted business development and training services within a national quality system. The Partnership operates within existing structures and works with local training providers and industry coaches to deliver training services focused on income-generation and business development outcomes within a nationally recognised framework.

The Partnership is now seeking proposals from specialists to join its Industry Coaches and Trainers in its Skills for Tourism sub-program for the development and delivery of an E-Tourism Marketing Masterclass for local tourism operators. Objectives of this masterclass will include:
  1. Supporting local tourism operators to address the growing technology and skills gap in online tourism marketing;
  2. Build capacity within local tourism operators to independently manage their online communications, marketing content, reservation systems and online reputation. 
          Criteria:
          We are looking for people or teams who are:
          • Passionate about working and developing sustainable tourism in rural communities in Vanuatu,
          • Have experience successfully working in the Tourism, Communications and/or Marketing private sector.
          • Have members with recognised tertiary qualifications in the Tourism, Communications and/or Marketing.
          • Have proven experience in the planning and delivery of training, skill development or workshop facilitation
          • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
          • Have team members who speak Bislama and willing to travel to the outer islands of Vanuatu.

          Alubat T/as PTH Vanuatu wishes to recruit a Customs Clearance Officer. A motivated, self-driven and results oriented individual to build a career and grow along with the company.           Key Duties & Responsibilities:
          • Manage the companies’ customs clearance process
          • Work closely with the Purchasing and Stock Control Officer of the company and proper coordination with overseas suppliers
          • Responsible for the preparation of raw costing
          • Verify Customs Tariff classifications utilized for importing goods
          • Gather, review, correct and maintain all required documentation for imports made to ensure timely clearance of goods at the wharf
          • Coordinates and communicates with the shipping agents in gathering all required documentation and tracking inbound and outbound shipments
          • Prepares consolidation list on inbound shipments and monthly schedule of Goods in Transit
          • Generates reports for managers on the manifestation of shipments
          • Ensure all customs clearance functions are carried out efficiently and accurately without delay
          • Ensure the companies’ full compliance with customs regulations in relation to imports and customs clearance.
          Criteria:
          • Tertiary qualification, Diploma in Business or Customs Administration
          • Should have a least 3+ years’ experience in the same field
          • Must be licensed by Customs with comprehensive knowledge of Asycuda Systems and customs procedures
          • Must be ready and able to work outside normal hours including weekends
          • Must possess a valid driving license.

                We are looking for a Gender Equality Officer Position to join our Gender Equality team based in Port Vila with possible travel to other field sites.
                The purpose of this position is to support the ‘Increasing women and girls voice in the humanitarian sector: The localisation of the Vanuatu Gender & Protection Cluster project funded by UN Women.
                The purpose of this project is to increase the number of ni-Vanuatu and other Pacific women & girls from the community, local Government and CSOs who have the confidence and skills to participate in emergency preparedness and response efforts. This will include the ability to actively participate in preparedness activities as well as conduct and analyse gender & protection emergency assessments. CSOs and local and provincial preparedness committees will have increased understanding of gender and protection in emergencies.

                • Support the activity implementation of this project, in coordination with the Gender and Protection cluster and reporting to the CARE National Gender Coordination and Capacity Strengthening Project Manager.
