We are looking for two [2] Resilience Officer Positions to join our resilience team based in Tanna with possible travel to other
field sites.
Your major
responsibilities will be varied and will include:
- Effective
and efficient implementation of the resilience program activities according to
team work plans and activities
- Mobilization
of communities with facilitation at a community and provincial level on DRR
[Disaster Risk and Reduction] concepts; CCA [Climate change advocacy] planning
and actions
- Delivery of
trainings on key resilience topics to communities and supporting women’s
leadership.

Criteria:
Required qualifications and skills:
- Minimum
technical diploma and/or vocational training in emergency response, disaster
risk reduction (DRR), climate change, food security, agriculture or gender
projects and/or minimum 2-3 years relevant work experience, preferably in
community based development work and/or activity implementation with an
International Non-Government Organisation (INGO)
- Proven
experience in mobilising communities and facilitate action planning activities
- Ability to
deliver good quality training and awareness activities
- Fluent
communication and facilitation skills in Bislama and good in English
- Ability to
collect information and produce concise and accurate reports
- Demonstrated
good level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to
plan and manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure timely
processing to meet deadlines in a complex environment
- Demonstrated
ability to take direction and to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated
experience in following standard policies, procedures and processes
- A
willingness to learn about CARE, gender equality and women’s empowerment
activities
- Proven
ability in managing a budget and/or cash;
and
- Good IT
skills in Microsoft Office with
knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
