Job Description:
TIVR Timber is a leading timber and joinery business operating at Salili on the Mele Road. We are seeking a dynamic person to join our dynamic team. No prior knowledge of the timber and joinery business is essential but it would be helpful.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to
  • Liaise with customers to make sure accounts are paid on time
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts and processing of payments
  • Send out statements
  • Enter LPOs and expenditure in MYOB
  • Maintain and strengthen account relationships with all suppliers and customers
  • Resolve any customer or supplier issues
  • Enter sales in Retail Manager
  • Maintain vehicle register and ensure all vehicles are serviced at regular intervals
  • Update and maintain Asset Register
  • Make recommendations to processes and procedures to achieve company goals.
Other Duties
  • Fostering strong communication between all member of the TIVR Team and uphold high standards of honesty and integrity in personal conduct
  • Other Duties as requested by Office Supervisor and Manager
  • Act as back up in absence of other admin staff.
Criteria:
  • Must have had at least 5 years’ experience using MYOB and working experience at Retail Manager
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Knowledge of relevant Vanuatu Laws
  • High level of personal integrity and honesty
  • Strong financial management, human resources and administration skills
  • Demonstration of a high level of communication and interpersonal skills

        TRR is seeking a Telecommunications Regulatory Market Monitoring, Competition and Consumer Affairs Manager to lead and coordinate our regulatory market monitoring, competition and consumer responsibilities in the Telecommunications sector. The role includes:
        • Working effectively with the Regulator and Coordinate the Market Monitoring and Competition Unit to achieve or deliver on their projects on expected time-frame

        • Providing high-level guide on consumer awareness and protection, and internet governance, analysis, advice and guidance to TRR and industry
        • Advising on and developing appropriate policies, regulations, guidelines, processes & procedures for consumer and other issues concerning internet provision and use within Vanuatu
        • Project managing appropriate and assigned TRR internet governance, regulatory role on child online protection, other Internet related activities and consumer related projects in support of TRR’s objectives, the Government policies (National ICT, Cyber-security and Universal Access), consumers, licensees and other appropriate stakeholders
        • Representing TRR and interfacing with appropriate intergovernmental organizations, international bodies and other institutions on internet, internet governance and consumer matters as required and deemed necessary. 
        In particular, the Market Monitoring, Competition and Consumer Affairs Manager will provide support in the coordination of the market monitoring and competition, economic matters and consumer affairs that will lead to promote national and social economic development. 

        Criteria:
        Required Experience and Qualifications 

        The applicant should have the following combination of qualification and experience:
        • The applicant must have a degree and preferably a post degree in Economics or Accounting or related subject
        • The applicant must have at least 3 years’ experience in the management preferably in the telecommunications sector fluent in English, Bislama, and French will be an advantage
        • Proven background and experience in market competition, economic matters and analysis of these markets
        • A sound understanding of ICT/Telecommunications technologies, related consumer issues, internet governance and particularly, how they relate to and are used by consumers in Vanuatu
        • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of internet and its services, market competition and economic issues and telecommunications and ICT issues, including universal access and universal service provision in the Pacific and ideally Vanuatu
        • Sound project coordination and management skills
        • Strong demonstrative knowledge and skills on market competition enforcement and compliance

        TRR is seeking a Corporate Manager to lead and coordinate all Regulatory Corporate responsibilities in TRR; including Administration, IT, Finance and Human Resources. The role includes:
        • Working effectively with the Regulator and management and coordination of the Corporate Unit to achieve and deliver on all projects within expected and prescribed timeframes
        • Follow the direction of, and provide strong support and advice to the Regulator at all times. This includes providing proactive and appropriate guidance and support to the Regulator and acting on all requests to ensure smooth delivery and required outcomes

        • Effectively and appropriately manage the Corporate Unit on all assigned project initiatives/work
        • Lead the development, coordinate, promote and manage the implementation of TRR’s Strategic Plans, its 90 days plans and TRR Work Plans, 
        • Advise on and develop appropriate TRR’s Internal policies, guidelines, & procedures for the TRR staff and other working tools and instruments (Finance, HR, Travel, guidelines, plans and administrative procedures)
        • Work cooperatively with all TRR team members
        • As directed, coordinate, provide support and assistance on any TRR project or TRR work, and develop and provide all appropriate reports to the Regulator

          The applicant must, ideally, have the following combination of qualifications and experience:
          • degree in Public Administration, Finance and Human Resources Management or directly related subjects
          • At least 3 years’ experience in corporate management, ideally in the telecommunications sector, but such experience in the commercial will be considered, and fluency in English, Bislama, and French will be an advantage
          • Proven background and experience in Public Administration, Finance, IT and Human Resources Management
