Job Description:

The Office of the Registrar of Cooperatives and Business Development Services (ORCBDS) is seeking the services of a national expert. The expert will support the ORCBDS and an international expert in drafting the National Cooperative Policy 2017-2022. The policy will guide cooperative development from 2017 and onwards. The support to the drafting of the National Cooperatives Policy 2017-2022 will be both logistical and technical in nature. In terms of logistics, the national expert will be responsible for facilitating meetings during consultations in Port Vila and other selected locations including the final validation workshop. In terms of technical support, the national expert will support in the preparation of all outputs outlined in the ToR and ensure that the recommendations from the project are suitable for Vanuatu. Criteria: The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications, experience and skills: A bachelor degree in economics, management or another relevant discipline. Alternatively, a university diploma in a relevant field with additional 5 years of relevant experience At least 5 years of experience with administration of cooperatives. Or alternatively a demonstrably relevant experience Demonstrated competency in government planning, with experience in policy drafting and facilitation of corporate planning Experience interfacing with private and public sector at various levels Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bislama. Good understanding of French would be an advantage.

Proposal to provide graphic design, collateral design and web content services for the Vanuatu Discovery Trails Project. The Vanuatu Discovery Trails Project (VDTP) through the Vanuatu Strategic Tourism Action Plan (VSTAP) and the Department of Tourism is seeking a specialist consultant to fulfill the role of Graphic Designer Technical Advisor. The main tasks will be to work with the Project Managers in Efate and Santo to develop the following:  Design the VDTP brand, logo and associated guidelines Design and develop printed collateral promotional materials Produce and provide content for VDTP web pages. The VDTP is a three year, NZAid funded project, which aims to increase income for Ni-Vanuatu tourism businesses through greater visitor dispersal and spending by existing and new visitors.
