The purpose of the VRCS Youth Traineeship and Volunteer Engagement Programme is to provide further opportunities and recognition to our dedicated volunteers.  It will do this by increasing training and mentoring opportunities for VRCS volunteers by engaging a select number as VRCS youth trainees in order to increase their leadership, employability skills, and knowledge in the humanitarian sector and technical area in which they will be assigned.

Criteria: Qualifications and Profile required: First Aid qualification or experience A Certificate in any of the following areas; IT, Administration, Environment, HR, Business, Tourism, Communications or Equivalent Knowledge and demonstrated experience in any of these fields Red Cross trainings from any field (can be online learning) A minimum of year 10 school certificate or reading and writing skills in two or more of the three Vanuatu National languages Extensive active Red Cross volunteer service. Knowledge & skills: Demonstrated written and oral communications, including fluency in Bislama, English or French is desirable Computer literacy or desire to achieve Able to keep financial records Administrative and organizational skills Basic Customer Service skills with desire to develop further Ability to work independently or in a team Ability to deal with multi-cultural and multi sectorial teams.
