Job Description: 
Vanuatu Red Cross Society, working jointly with the support of the New Zealand Red Cross, is seeking applications for a dynamic and highly motivated person to immediately fill Commercial First Aid Trainee position with the VRCS team in Port Vila.
The purpose of the VRCS Youth Traineeship and Volunteer Engagement Programme is to provide further opportunities and recognition to our dedicated volunteers.  It will do this by increasing training and mentoring opportunities for VRCS volunteers by engaging a select number as VRCS youth trainees in order to increase their leadership, employability skills, and knowledge in the humanitarian sector and technical area in which they will be assigned.

          Criteria:
          Qualifications and Profile required:
          • First Aid qualification or experience
          • A Certificate in any of the following areas; IT, Administration, Environment, HR, Business, Tourism, Communications or Equivalent Knowledge and demonstrated experience in any of these fields
          • Red Cross trainings from any field (can be online learning)
          • A minimum of year 10 school certificate or reading and writing skills in two or more of the three Vanuatu National languages
          • Extensive active Red Cross volunteer service.
          Knowledge & skills:
          • Demonstrated written and oral communications, including fluency in Bislama, English or French is desirable
          • Computer literacy or desire to achieve
          • Able to keep financial records
          • Administrative and organizational skills
          • Basic Customer Service skills with desire to develop further
          • Ability to work independently or in a team
          • Ability to deal with multi-cultural and multi sectorial teams.
          Required:
          • Active experience with the Vanuatu Red Cross Society as a volunteer
          • Proven ability to follow and carry out instructions and assignment tasks under minimal supervision
          • Experience maintaining and updating stock inventories
          • Computing Skills.

                                          Okeanos Sustainable Sea Transport Ltd is currently looking for a local crew (deck hand) and a captain (20 to 200GT). 
                                          Our goal is to develop sustainable tourism and transport as well launching awareness campaigns and get involved in marine conservation. Our boat is a Vaka Motu, a traditional Polynesian catamaran (15m) using only sails, solar panels and coconut oil for our engines. Have local, committed, crew members is now essential for us. The successful applicants will be trained by our current crew.
