Criteria:
  • Significant experience in leading impact humanitarian response and recovery programs and disaster-risk reduction initiatives
  • University degree, preferably in any development field or disaster management (or other formal education equivalent)
  • Experience working in alliance with governments, civil society organisations, national and international NGOs, other development agencies and the private sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and manage complex and sensitive organisational relationships
  • Demonstrable understanding of and commitment to promoting gender equity and the interests of marginalized people.
  • Understanding of country humanitarian architecture, policies etc
  • Experience in managing donor contracts (desirable)
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and deliver work to tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

Salary:

The remuneration and benefits package for this position ranges from 1,853,976 vatu to 2,410,169 vatu per anum and other admissible benefits as per organizational policy.

An established company is recruiting to fill the new role of Lease Process Planner. 
The role involves researching, documenting and implementing the Land Department processes and associated costs. Completing applications, writing documents and following up with Lands Department to completion.
The Lease Process Planner will be responsible for but not limited to the following documents on behalf of our clients:
  • Building permit applications
  • Lease extension applications
  • Preparation of lease termination/expiry letters when required
  • Custom land owner consents

  • Change of lease class

The individual must be highly organized and have attention to detail to ensure each step in the process is carried out correctly and to completion.

        Criteria:
        The ideal candidate will have experience and or knowledge of land reform laws and Land Department procedures as well as an understanding of legal documents.
        This role is a new position that will expand in responsibility as the successful candidate grows into the role. Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5pm with the understanding there will be times to work outside of these hours in order to get the job done.               As a member of the CARE Vanuatu team, the Logistics Officer is responsible for ensuring that Care Logistics and Procurement function run efficiently, maintain updated inventory list in compliance with CARE’s policy and guidelines. The Logistics Officer is required to ensure that the operation process in the warehouse is an efficient and transparent manner and providing operational support to Logistics Coordinator. The role requires professionalism and attention to detail and an ability to work well with others across a team with regard to the following areas:
              • Supervise Logistics of Procurement Plans with Procurement Officer
              • Work collaboratively with Procurement team to ensure there is a clear communication of stocks information
              • Maintain good communication with field logistics team to make sure proper transportation takes place.
              • Assist Procurement Senior Officer on purchases.
              • Provide quick and smooth procurement support especially in emergencies
              • Work with requestor, Procurement team and Finance team to ensure the smooth transaction of goods and services
              • Maintain a register of supplier/transporter list.
              • Establish an inventory system to ensure the warehouse team is able to work in smooth operation
              • Make sure stocks are stored in a clean and good ventilated environment to prevent damage and are easily accessible.
              • Provide transport tracking sheet monthly.
              • Make sure stocktaking is done quarterly and spot check is done weekly
              • Ensure that all Stock Cards, Inventory, Stock Report Database are daily updated
              • Incoming, outgoing stocks and damage are recorded systematically
              • Maintain a good Logistical filing system

                    Criteria:
                    • Any graduate with Bachelor in a related technical area such as Business; Administration.
                    • Minimum 2-3 year experience in similar Logistics role in an international organization.
                    • Demonstrated good analytical skills, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, sound judgment and planning.
                    • Basic communication skills (both written and oral) in English and good communication skills (both written and oral)
                    • Good time management skills and ability to undertake multiple tasks
                    • Good Knowledge of computer skills (particularly Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point)
