Applicants are required to demonstrate the following:
  • Demonstrated experience in community mobilization (management of community works)
  • Good understanding in the functioning of Kindergartens
  • Demonstrated experience and competencies in at least two (2) of the following sectors
  • Construction with industrial materials (concrete, cement blocks, metallic roofing)
  • Traditional construction : wood structure, wood and local materials walls and roofing
  • Management of construction team, supervision of simultaneous multiple construction site 
  • Construction activities scheduling, reporting

        Criteria:
        • Ability / flexibility to travel regularly, particularly in the North of Tanna and to live 5 days/week in the communities
        • Good knowledge and understanding of North Tanna communities (native of North Tanna will be an asset)
        • University graduate in construction sectors or field related will be an asset 
        • Understanding of disaster risk reduction strategy
        • Driving license required
        • Good communication, drafting and presentation skills
        • Team management, training and facilitation skills
        • Knowledge of the North Tanna geography and access to the communities
        • Open-minded, dynamic and flexible
        • Bislama + English and/or French speaker required
        • Knowledge of Red Cross movement will be an asset

The position of Operations Officer is to support the technical operations team responsible for aviation safety and security oversight for PASO.

                                                  Duties Include
                                                  • Develop and implement plans to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency
                                                  • Manage technical and record keeping for surveillance and compliance requirements for the members states and aviation industry organizations
                                                  • Coordinate task request from the member states of PASO
                                                  • Support the Coordination and administration of the regional pool of inspectors
