The Vanuatu Humanitarian Team (VHT) is a collaborative project set up by a range of humanitarian actors (UN Agencies, INGO’s, NGO’s and The Red Cross) and working closely with the NDMO and other key government agencies. The VHT coordinator is central and exciting position to work with all these stakeholders and make a difference in the humanitarian field in Vanuatu. 

Criteria:
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
  • Experience in working on emergency responses with a deep knowledge of disaster management
  • Significant experience working in a coordination and networking role including coordinating a wide range of external stakeholders
  • Experience in training, designing and managing evaluative/learning events and processes
  • Experience in managing donor contracts (desirable)
  • Formal qualifications or training in gender and emergencies, gender and development or disaster management (desirable)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
