The Vanuatu Meteorological and Geo-hazard department(VGMD) and National Diaster management Office have secured a funding from the World Bank for twop large-scale national adaptation and diaster risk reduction projects designed to address Vanautu's immediate climate change adaptation needs and migate natural diaster risks.

Th Finance Manager and Procurement Adviser will work with the PMU/VMGD in the implementation of these two projects with he respective implementing agencies. The Procurement and Finance Management Adviser will be contracted to ensure that the appropriate procurement planning and implementation, finanacial control and reporting are met during the course of the

projects, and to build capacity of the PMU for financial management and procurement.

Criteria:

- University graduate in Accounting or Financial Administration/Management;

- CPA or equivalent

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior management position, covering financial management and procurement activities, preferably in developing countries.

- Familar and experienced with world bank finance systems and procedures; and

- Proven ability to mentor and train staff in all aspects of finacial management and procurement
