| CARE Australia manages the CARE International office in Vanuatu which was established in 2007. CARE’s entry into Vanuatu began with building the resilience of remote and vulnerable communities to the impacts of natural disasters and climate change. CARE Vanuatu’s programs, funded by AusAID and the EU, have reached 19 remote communities across four provinces: Penama, |
| Torba, Sanma and Tafea. In 2013, CARE consolidated its activities in the province of Tafea with a focus on the remote outer islands of Futuna, Aniwa and Erromango. CARE is continuing its work on building the resilience of remote and vulnerable communities to the impacts of natural disasters and climate change and is planning additional programming on women’s empowerment in the |

| CARE International in Vanuatu is seeking to employ a FIELD COORDINATOR. |
| Current program focus is on disaster risk reduction and community based adaptation (to climate change). CARE is also planning further programming in the area of women’s empowerment. |

| The position require around 50% of the time to be based in the project locations in Tafea Province. |
