Duties and responsibilities:

1) Reporting to the Head of Banking Operations, this position contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resource practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasized empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior

workforce

2) Co-ordinate day-to-day efficient operation of the HR department

3) Assist with recruiting and staffing logistics in line with Bank’s recruitment policy

4) Manage employee orientation, development, and training logistics

5) Assist in the development and maintenance of the Bank’s employee performance management system in accordance with management objectives

6) Recommend and assist in formulating policies and objectives for the Bank with regard to employee relations

7) Ensure employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting in line with the banks policies and relevant employment laws

8) Co-ordinate and provide staff training where required

9) Maintain employee files and the HR filing system

10) Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Management.

Criteria:

- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s either in management, banking and finance, human resources, industrial relations or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution

- At least 8 year(s) of work experience dealing with people management in a formal banking and finance sector is required for this position

- Be able to converse fluently with executive management including preparation of management reports where required

- Knowledge and experience in banking, project and process management is required

- Demonstrated capacity with respect to the key responsibilities and accountabilities in existing role – substantiated by work references.
