| | Chemonics seeks a development outreach coordinator to provide technical leadership and guidance to an outreach program for the anticipated USAID-funded Coastal Community Adaptation Program. This five-year project will respond to the challenges that climate change poses to the development and survival of the Pacific Islands. We are looking for |

| | Responsibilities include: |
| | 1) Provide outreach guidance and leadership to target audiences including the U.S. and Pacific Island governments, community leaders, international donor community, and the American public |
| | 2) Maintain, improve, and update the project's electronic and social media |
| | 3) Produce and disseminate an electronic newsletter, including layout, design, and editing |
| | 4) Produce and disseminate reports, studies, and other publications |
| | 5) Coordinate communication strategies with project staff |
| | 6) Serve as the project's media contact. |
| | Interested applicant must possess the following: |
| | Criteria: |
| | - Degree in journalism, communications, or other relevant field |
| | - Minimum five years of experience in public outreach in a developing country; digital media experience preferred |
| | - Experience living and/or working in Southeast Asia (Pacific Islands preferred) |
| | - Knowledge of climate change issues and challenges; Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills |
| | - Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity; Fluent English and at least one Pacific Island language required. |
