Telecom vanuatu limited is the premier provider of domestic and international communication services to vanuatu. The company is seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified finance professional to the position of management accountant. Duties and responsibilities:

1) This is a ‘hands on’ role reporting to the chief financial officer (OFC).You will be accountable for the preparation and distribution of the company’s financial reporting, both internally to senior management as well as externally to corporate shareholders (france telecom and cable & Wireless)

2) You will be also responsible for providing development to local staff, establishing and documenting working practices and procedures within the financial reporting area, and ensuring continuity of analysis and reporting to senior executives, including CFO and CEO

3) Preparation of weekly, monthly, annual financial reports (P&L, B/L, capital investment, actual budget, with variance analysis and commentary

4) Internal control practices are implemented within the finance section to meet industry, benchmarks

5) Assisting CFO and executive staff to compile and monitor budgets and forecasts.
