| UNICEF office in Vanuatu is seeking to-employ a person, who will be based in the UNICEF Vanuatu Office. Port Vila under the direct supervision of the Chief of Field Office and technical assistance from the Chief of Child Protection, in Suva, contributes to project design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programme/project activities, data analysis |
| and progress reporting including teamwork and capacity building in particular in relation to the programme component on Behavioral change. The personal history form (P11) in Ms word can be downloaded from the website mention below. |
| Duties and responsibilities: |
| 1) Collects and analyses data and information for project planning, management, monitoring and evaluation purposes. Analyses programme implementation progress and evaluates against established programme recommendations and plans of action. Reports outcome of analysis and proposes corrective actions. Assist counterparts in the process of drafting |
| Annual Work plans and related documents as required, including Annual reviews and mid-year reviews. |
| 2) Contributes to building strategic partnerships with child protection government and civil society counterparts in particular in relation to communication for social change initiatives. Facilitates the Implementation of the country specific communication for social change plans,develops partner agreements, provide technical support to development of materials as |

| 3) Undertakes ongoing visits to UNICEF support child protection project sites, assesses local conditions and resources and monitors UNICEF Inputs Communicates with local counterpart authorities on project feasibility and effectiveness |
| 4) Attends technical meeting on child protection, prepares notes and undertakes follow-up action and coordination related to programme implementation and monitoring. |
| Interested applicants must have the following requirements: |
| Criteria: |
| - Completion of Bachelors degree in Public relation, media and communications; 2 years professional experience in programme design and protect management, related to programme communication, |
| preferably with child protection focus, including data collection and analysis; Fluency in English and another UN language required; Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset |
| - Analytical and conceptual ability; Communication skills; Planning & monitoring skills; Ability to organize work and projects ability to make timely and quality judgments and decisions; Computer skills |
| including internet navigation, and various office applications; Communication to continuous learning for professional development |
| - Imitative passion and commitment to UNICEF’s mission and professional values; Demonstrate ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships |
