Job Description:  The Vanuatu Red Cross Society is seeking applications from a dynamic and highly motivated person to immediately fill the following position as part of its VRCS team.  VRCS is an organization involved in emergency, early recovery and development program. Therefore, all VRCS staff have to be available at any time in order to respond to any emergency work, should the need arise. All Vanuatu Red Cross staff must agree to and sign the Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct as well as providing a current police clearance. Criteria: Qualifications and profile: Completed Secondary year 12 education or higher Tertiary training in a health related field would be advantageous Qualified first aid trainer is preferred PHAST or DWSSP facilitation experience an advantage Well organised Capable and confident public speaker Able to work both as part of a team and with minimal supervision Ability to meet deadlines Integrity Current driver’s licence with clean driving record Willing to travel extensively. Knowledge & skills: Prior WASH experience including hygiene promotion Previous experience with community based programmes would be preferred Strong interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills in Bislama Effective communication (oral and written) in English Report writing in English daily and monthly Knowledge of the Vanuatu context Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of the Red Cross movement would be an asset.
