These positions will require experienced and dedicated people who will support the chief Executive Officer in the management of the national airline. The General Manager Commercial is a senior executive position and reports to the Chief Executive Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership at a high strategic and commercial level for sales and marketing and to produce and deliver revenue for Air Vanuatu, maximizing the return from existing market whilst identifying and penetrating new markets, where appropriate. Specific accountabilities cover a wide range of duties including providing strategic direction for the airline’s corporate, trade and leisure sales; formulating and implementing station sales strategy including local corporate dealing policy; maximise short and long term revenue opportunities; and, reduce cost of sale.               Job Description:

              This Request for Expressions of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in dgMarket online 31st March 2015.
              The Government of the Republic of Vanuatu has received a loan from the International Development Association under the Pacific Aviation Investment Program (PAIP) and it is intended to apply part of the proceeds to payments for the Contract – Consulting Services –Selection of an Individual Consultant –National Project Manager.

              PAIP is a regional aviation project with the development objective to provide safe and secure air transport operations and environmentally sustainable and efficient airports and is being implemented in five (5) Pacific Island countries: Tonga, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Samoa and Vanuatu. The projects’ implementing Entity is Tonga Airports Ltd (TAL), who leads the projects via the TFSU “Technical and Fiduciary Services Unit”.

              TFSU now seeks a National Project Manager for the Vanuatu Aviation Investment Project (VAIP) to provide assistance to VPMU for all current projects and in particular to ensure that the VAIP is implemented successfully.

              The Vanuatu Education Support Program (VESP) is supporting the Government of Vanuatu’s goals of improving education quality, providing more equitable access to education and ensuring a well-managed education system. The program is currently focused on improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for children in the early years of primary education.               • Developing a Language Transition Guide Years 1-3: one in French and one in English for teachers
              • Developing a progress map for student achievement in French and English as an additional language that is relevant to the Vanuatu context.
