Job Description:

Role:
Save the Children has a significant and varied
portfolio of work across Vanuatu and is looking for a strong Director of
Program Implementation to lead programs and provide significant managerial and
operational support in the implementation and day to day management of our
projects.
The Director of Program implementation will be a
dynamic leader, working with field managers and program managers to support
them in delivering the programs to a high standard. They will lead and support
their team ensuring deliverables are met, learning is incorporated into future
action and that the capacity of the programs team is continually supported and
improved.
This role sits on the Senior Management Team and is
responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation on
a country level.

Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent
interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrates
the ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely
completion of tasks while working in a fast paced environment and to strict
deadlines.
- Excellent
report writing skills in English and financial management skills
- Demonstrates
the ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside
and outside the organization (including community leaders) to achieve a desired
outcome.
- Ability
to organize and facilitate forums and workshops
- Effective
staff management skills
- Displays
well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Computer
literate
Knowledge/Experience:
- Significant project management experience and a thorough
knowledge of the project management cycle, including project planning and
monitoring.
- Significant experience in working in partnership
with government, donors, and community organizations, particularly DFAT and
ECHO.
- Proven experience managing staff in multiples sites.
- Significant
experience in working in the NGO/Development sector
- Understanding of, and commitment to, developing an
understanding of the principles of the Child Rights Convention.
Qualifications/Accreditations:
- Degree in the related field.
