Job Description:
The Melanesian Port Vila is seeking applications from interested and enthusiastic individuals to perform the following services of the Front Office Clerk:
  • Checking guests in and out of the Hotel
  • Issue room keys, information, and guest’s messages, etc
  • Works in conjunction with the porter/security to assist guests into to their rooms 
  • Answer various questions from guests 
  • Liaise with housekeeping department on all guests rooms prior to check-in 
  • Arranges transfers for guests 
  • Compute bills using Room Master property management system, collect payment and make change for guests 
  • Run various reports on the computer for management 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

        Criteria:
        • Must be year 10 to 13 school leaver 
        • Must have at least 3 years of previous experience in front office in a 3 to 4 star hotel
        • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills 
        • Be willing to work long hours during busy period
        • Be punctual and trustworthy
        • Be willing to learn new tasks 
        • Have a clean police report
        • Have the ability to work with less supervision
        • French speaking is preferred but not necessarily required 
        • Be a Vanuatu citizen currently living in Port Vila.

              We are looking for an experienced Nanny/Child Carer to look after our 3 month old boy. No housework is required, just someone who is extremely reliable, trustworthy and caring. You will be required to play games, prepare bottles/food, change nappies, bath and generally care for our son. We will need you to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and some weekend work may be required. Occasionally you will be required to assist our other nanny in the care of our 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy after school and during school holidays.

                    Criteria:
                    The ability to read and write English is very important. You must have prior experience in caring for a young baby, and a certificate in Child Care/Early Education will be highly regarded.

                                            We are looking for a MEAL Officer to join our team based in Tanna, Tafea Province with travel to Outer Islands.

                                            The WASH Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation, strengthening program quality and accountability, promoting learning and reporting of WASH programs in line with CARE’s monitoring and evaluation system. The successful candidate will have experience implementing MEAL activities, and will have the skills to engage women and girls, young people, older people, and people with disabilities in WASH MEAL activities. The role involves coordinating with other members of the WASH team including the MEAL unit, government officials, and communities.

                                            Required qualifications and skills
                                            • Bachelor degree or diploma in a related field (monitoring and evaluation, development studies, humanitarian program management, etc.)
                                            • Minimum of three years working experience that includes monitoring and evaluation duties Experience working in an international NGO preferred

                                            • Training and facilitation skills
