Save the Children Australia (Vanuatu Program) is seeking highly motivated candidates for the following position. |

About the role |
Save the Children Australia in Vanuatu Program aims to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people in the areas of health and well-being, child rights and child protection. We advocate on behalf of children and promote the rights of the child. |
The Senior Program Manager will: |
• Lead and provide significant managerial support in the implementation, monitoring, evaluating and reporting roles in Child Protection, DRR and Climate Change Adaptation programs. |
• Work with Specific project managers to support them in delivering the programs to an excellent standard. |

• Excellent report writing skills in English and financial management skills; Demonstrates the ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside the organisation (including community |
leaders,) to achieve a desire outcome. |
• Demonstrate the ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks while working in a fast paced environment and to strict deadlines; Ability to organise and facilitate forums and |
workshops. |
• Displays well developed verbal and written communication skills in both Bislama and English; Significant project management experience and a thorough knowledge of the project management cycle, including project |
planning and monitoring. |
• Significant experience in working in partnership with government, donors and community organisations, particularly DFAT and ECHO; Effective and proven experience in staff management. |
• Significant experience in working in the NGO sector; Understanding of, and commitment to, developing an understanding of the principles of the Child Rights Convention. |
