The National bank of Vanuatu is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced person to fill the position of Head of Operations.

This is an executive role reporting directly to the Managing Director. It is resposible for the overall administration of the bank's ICT, e-Banking and Logistics Support Departments, as well as management of special projects as directed by the Managing Director and Board.

The Head of Operations will manage the bank's ICT Network, core banking system and electronic banking systems. The successful applicant will also be responsible for implementing new technology platforms to expand banking services and micro financial services more widely across the country. The position applicant is therefore expecyed to demonstrate past record of successful

project management in the Ict field.

The individual must have a formal Information Technology qualifications and strong working knowledge of bank information systems, supported by solid analytical and problem solving skills.

The position will invovle:

Criteria:

- Providing the FICs with timely and high - quality policy advice and briefings on trde policy issues;

-Assisting in the organisation of national and regional consultations and seminars and making presentations on trade - related issues as required; and

-Supporting the FICs in the PACER plus negotiations by undertaking research and providing adviceto the FICs on the negotiating issues.

- An advanced degree, preferable with a a specialisation in development economics,international trade or international trade law;

-An understanding of international trade policy issues affecting small developing countries and the trade and economic issues facing the FICs;
