Organisation Description:
The purpose of the college is to be the Centre for the training of farmers and acquisition of farming technologies and skills for enhancing agriculture production and in so doing contributing to the economic and social development of Vanuatu.
Job Desctiption:
The Vanuatu Agriculture College Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Supervisor to join our team. He or She will be responsible to perform organizational and accounting tasks to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Finance Manager, Deputy Corporate and other finance support staff. Also, he or she will ensure that the finance team are complying with the Vanuatu Agriculture College policy and the Vanuatu Qualification Authority (VQA) standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsibility to assist the Finance Manager in the supervision of the team.
• Communicating with clients to better understand financial needs and report that information to the Finance Manager.
• Managing basic office administrative tasks including filing, printing, reporting and emailing.
• Recording and processing all financial and accounting practices, including profit and loss reports.
• Working closely with the finance manager to manage staff and student's records.
• Maintaining bookkeeping and office accounting needs
• Collecting payments and updating accounts payable and receivable records.
• Scheduling client's appointments and managing important department deadlines.
• To assist in the supervision of all accounting procedures and systems used by Vanuatu Agriculture College.
• To assist in the smooth running of the team.
• Contribute to training and development of the team.
• To assist in complying with all financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations.

Essential Qualification and Requirements
• Candidate applying for this position must have a Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in book keeping
• Effective communication skills, including active listening, speaking and writing
• Professional business communication skills, including emailing, financial reporting and other department documentation
• Great customer service and interpersonal skills
• Collaboration and teamwork skills
• Project management abilities, including multitasking, prioritization and deadline management
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Working knowledge of accounting and financial processes
• Good math skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Comfortable with computers, accounting software, spreadsheet software and other financial computer application
• .Honest, reliable and hardworking person.
